NWSL 2023 Kits
With the start of the new NWSL 2023 season edging ever closer, we thought we’d look at a selection of some new threads that will be gracing the field over the next season.
Portland Thorns
The Thorns are taking their name super seriously and using it as inspiration for their new kit - this kit sees the return of their old badge and is surrounded by traditional style tattoo art featuring thorns - roses and a dagger - this is pretty badass.
Angel City FC
Angel City have used their home as inspiration for this kit, with the main pattern on the shirt being the iconic coastline of Los Angeles - but also what makes this stand out is the fact that you can customise the kit with a host of different patches, all designed by various local creators
Chicago Red Stars
The windy city club have released the a super stylish ‘Foundation Kit’ that represents their identity well - the kit features the four stars from the Chicago flag across the front of the kit - a design ripped straight from the badge - but also there's a faint interconnected star pattern at the top of the kit as well.
Gotham FC
A team that embodies both New York and New Jersey - so the kit does the same thing - Usually, these kits have a sash coming down the kit - which symbolises the Hudson river - which connects New York and New Jersey - but this new kit takes that sash and incorporates it into a bigger zig-zag pattern.
Houston Dash
The Houston Dash has released their new home shirt for the 2023 season named ‘La Estrella’, which “embodies the pursuit of excellence and innovation that fueled the exploration of the deepest parts of space. La Estrella features luminous orange tones in a digital pattern mimicking the limitless energy, speed, and intensity of a star.”
OL Reign - The ‘Purpose’ jersey defines OL Reign’s sense of place & environment and stands for the club's mission and values at forefront of its design. The bold shirt also symbolises their dedication to advocating for the community when it comes to sustainability, social justice, the empowerment of women and LGBTQ+ rights.
